​On November 16, 2013, Virginia Sharpe Wettlaufer, daughter of Mrs. Catherine Talley Wettlaufer (M. Catherine Talley) of Buffalo, NY, and the late C. Penn Wettlaufer, also of Buffalo, was married to Walter Scott Tomenson III, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wettlaufer Jr. (Leslie A. Levis) of Village of Golf, FL, formerly of New York. The ceremony took place at St. Christopher Anglican Church, Lyford Cay, New Providence, Bahamas. A reception followed at the Lyford Cay Club.



The bride, who is keeping her name, is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ralph W. Talley (Mary L. Sharpe) of Buffalo and Naples, FL. She is also the granddaughter of the late Mrs. Virginia Penn Wettlaufer (Virginia Penn) of Reidsville, NC, and the late C. Taylor Wettlaufer of Buffalo.



​The groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert W. Levis Jr. (Phyllis M. Doherty) of Boston, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter S. Tomenson (Ena P. Rogers) of Toronto.



Ms. Wettlaufer graduated from the Nichols School and Tulane University. Mr. Tomenson graduated from Deerfield Academy and the University of Pennsylvania.

 

 

The couple took a wedding trip to the Maldives and London and make their home in New York.
