PHILADELPHIA, PA—A Philadelphia Spring Fête at the Acorn Club—April 21, 2026

The Social Register Foundation invited SRA members to an inaugural Philadelphia young members event to celebrate spring. Held in the historic clubhouse of The Acorn Club, attendees ushered in the season with friends old and new, enjoying refreshing cocktails and wine alongside delicious hors d’oeuvres in the company of fellow SRA members and their guests.

 

ELKINS PARK, PA—A Private Tour of Lynnewood Hall—June 6, 2026

The Social Register Foundation welcomed SRA members to a private tour of a legendary Gilded Age mansion, Lynnewood Hall. A grand Neoclassical Revival mansion, Lynnewood Hall was designed by Horace Trumbauer and constructed between 1897 and 1899 for the successful industrialist and Social Register Association member, Peter A. B. Widener. SRA members were welcomed by fellow SRA member and Executive Director Edward Thorne, followed by a tour exploring the mansion’s remarkable interiors across multiple floors.

 

NEW YORK, NY—The Social Register Foundation & Christie’s Private Tour of Irene Roosevelt Aitken’s World-Renowned CollectionFebruary 10, 2026

The Social Register Foundation and Christie’s invited members for a private tour of the landmark collection of fellow Social Register Association member Irene Roosevelt Aitken. Spanning more than a century from the Gilded Age to the 21st century, the Aitken collection includes British and French society portraits, objet d’art and precious porcelains, Russell Aitken’s collection of antique European arts, and an exceptional array from French and English furniture by master makers.

 

NEW YORK, NY—The Social Register Association’s 135th Anniversary Dinner DanceNovember 12, 2022

The Social Register Association marked the occasion of its 135th Anniversary in high style with a black-tie dinner dance at a historic private club on Park Avenue in New York City. SR members attending were dressed to the nines, making the event a truly festive way to celebrate the Social Register, benefit the Social Register Foundation, and kick off the holiday season, with spirits high and merriment all around. Members and their guests travelled to New York for the event, from cities all over the U.S., including Chicago, Palm Beach, Atlanta, Washington, Boston, and Cincinnati. Attendance at the dance showcased the multi-generational and diverse nature of the Social Register Association, with younger SR members mingling with older members, creating an atmosphere of joie de vivre and camaraderie. As a highlight of the evening, SR Chairman Christopher R. Wolf presented the inaugural Louis Keller Award to former SR Steward Christopher Forbes.

 

NEW YORK, NY—Social Register Association Cocktail Party Honoring Christopher ForbesNovember 3, 2022

Guests attending the Social Register Association’s 135th Anniversary Dinner Dance were welcomed the week prior at the historic apartment once owned by Governor of New York and Vice President of the United States, Nelson Rockefeller, for an intimate cocktail gathering. Hosted by generous friends of the SR, it was an elegant affair and a perfect prelude to the 135th anniversary event.

 

ST. LOUIS, MO—Cocktails at Log Cabin Club, Benefiting the Social Register FoundationMay 22, 2022

The first-ever SR event to be held in St. Louis brought together our members in support of the Social Register Foundation. The club, founded in 1899, has been host to many distinguished guests including seven U.S. presidents and in 1928, a dinner honoring Charles Lindbergh, whose trans-Atlantic flight in the Spirit of St. Louis had been financed in part by club members.

PALM BEACH, FL—A Fête on the TerraceMarch 14, 2022

As the start of a yearlong celebration of the Social Register’s 135th anniversary, the Social Register Foundation ushered in the spring social season with an exclusive black-tie party and dinner. Held on the terrace of generous benefactor Findlay Galleries, Social Register Association members came to celebrate the mission of the Foundation. The evening’s attendees were a virtual who’s-who from the Palm Beach area and around the country; a wide range of interesting individuals made for lively and entertaining conversations throughout the night as old friends caught up and new friends were made.

VERO BEACH, FL—A Cocktail Gathering at a Private ResidenceFebruary 27, 2020 

The waterfront home of SR members was the setting of an elegant cocktail party benefiting the Social Register Foundation, the first event held by the Social Register Association in Florida. Over 100 guests attended from Florida as well as New York, St. Louis, Atlanta, and Louisville.

CHICAGO, IL—Aloha Spring! Cocktail GatheringMay 2019

A cheerful party honoring the Social Register Foundation drew over 140 SR members, many traveling from around the country to attend. Held at the historic residence of two longtime SR members, guests bid farewell to the cold Midwest winter while supporting the foundation’s mission.

The Social Register Foundation is a qualified 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization incorporated in the State of Delaware.

Donations to the Social Register Foundation are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.
