Katherine Brainard Sinks, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Lucius F. Sinks (Michelle W. Naylon) of Ivy, VA, married James Vernon Baird Jr., son of Mrs. Carolyn Baird (Carolyn Hedge) of Houston, and James V. Baird, also of Houston. The ceremony took place on April 25, 2015, at Lee Chapel in Lexington, VA. A reception followed at King Family Vineyard in Crozet, VA.

 

The bride is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry M. Naylon III (Patricia Hopkins) of Boca Grande, FL, and East Aurora, NY. She is also the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Allen T. Sinks (Anna Batchelder) of Marblehead, MA.

 

The groom is the grandson of Mrs. Earl B. Yale (Hedge—Del Rose Birdsong) of Tyler, TX, and the late Raymond H. Hedge, also of Tyler. He is also the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hoyt V. Baird (Marcella Marrs) of Fort Worth, TX. He is the stepson of Mrs. James V. Baird (Terri Lacy), and the stepgrandson of the late Mr. Yale.

 

Mrs. Baird attended The Hotchkiss School and is a graduate of Washington and Lee University. Mr. Baird also graduated from Washington and Lee University, and is currently attending Harvard Business School.

 

Following a wedding trip to Bora Bora and New Zealand, the couple reside in Brookline, MA.
