​Katrina Maria Vitagliano Pape, daughter of Miss Maria T Vitagliano (Pape—Skillin—Maria T. Vitagliano) of New York, Palm Beach, Greenwich, CT, and Wilson, NY, and the late Harry C. Pape of West Palm Beach, FL, was married to Whitney Knowlton Rothe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernst Rothe (Nancy Louise Eberhart) of New York and Newport, RI. The ceremony took place on October 12, 2013, at Christ Church in Greenwich. A reception was held at the Belle Haven Club, also in Greenwich.



The bride is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Giuseppe Vitagliano (Kathryn Ness) of New York and Palm Beach. She is also the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Pape (Gladys McGruer) of Cincinnati, OH, and Palm Beach.



​The groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter M. Eberhart (Elizabeth S. Berger) of New York and the late Mr. and Mrs. Tyge E. Rothe (Delight D. Hall) of Greenwich and Espergaerde, Denmark.



Mrs. Rothe graduated from Colgate and Brooklyn Law School. She is a member of the American Yacht Club. Mr. Rothe graduated from Hamilton College and New York University Stern School of Business. He is a member of the Society of Colonial Wars in the State of New York and the Society of Mayflower Descendants in the State of New York.

 

Following a wedding trip to Mallorca, Ibiza, Barcelona and Venice, the couple make their home in New York and Newport.
