Kristen Suzanne Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward M. Miller (Janet R. Henning) of Charlottesville, VA, and Scarborough, ME, was married on June 20, 2015, to Robert Frederick Mahoney, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert F. Mahoney (Barbara LaRose) of Cambridge, MA. The ceremony took place at St. James Church in Prouts Neck, Scarborough, followed by a reception at the Prouts Neck Country Club.

 

The bride is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Henning (Lucy Rauch) of Jupiter, FL. She is also the granddaughter of Mrs. John N. Miller (Margaret Suzanne Sturgis) of Coral Gables, FL, and the late Mr. Miller of Jupiter, FL.

 

The groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Maitland F. LaRose (Barbara Canavan) of Cambridge. He is the grandson of the late Mrs. William J. Rooney (Mahoney—Helen Meehan) and the late Robert Mahoney, both of Belmont, MA. He is the stepgrandson of the late Mr. Rooney.

 

A lobster dinner was held at the Prouts Neck Yacht Club for the wedding party and immediate family on the eve of the wedding, with a welcome barbeque held simultaneously at the country club for the remaining guests. The evening culminated with dancing at the yacht club for all. The wedding service took place the next day at St. James, built in 1885 and the only house of worship on Prouts Neck, with a bagpiper escorting guests to the country club afterwards for a night of celebration.

 

Mrs. Mahoney is a graduate of Lehigh University and Tufts University. Mr. Mahoney graduated from Bentley University.

 

The couple took a wedding trip to Bora Bora and Maui, and reside in Boston.
