Michael J Butler
Michael J. Butler of Chicago died on November 14, 2013. The cause of death was cancer.
Mr. Butler was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William F. Butler (Dawn Ludington) of Hyannis Port, MA.
A real estate financier and investor, Michael J. Butler turned around real estate loans and distressed housing and commercial property portfolios for the State of New York under Governor Hugh Carey between 1978 and 1982, and throughout his career in private sector banks, including Chase Manhattan in New York and Credit Lyonnais in Chicago.
In addition to Mr. Butler’s wife, the former Karen L. Schwefel, he is survived by a son, Michael Butler of Redlands, CA; two brothers, William Butler Esq. of Hyannis Port and Dr. Christopher Butler of Pittsburgh; and seven nieces and nephews and their four children.
