Alexandra Gonzalez weds James Burke

Alexandra Gonzalez, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Manuel Gonzalez (Chavela Rojas) of Miami, FL, was married on March 7, 2015, to James VanVleck Burke, son of Mrs. Howard L. Clark Jr (Burke—Karen M. Kaess) of Palm Beach and Nantucket, and Edwin M. Burke Jr. of New Canaan, CT. The ceremony took place at St. Hugh’s Church in Coconut Grove, FL, with a reception at the Fisher Island Club in Miami.
The bride is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alfredo Rojas (Mercedes Aguirre) of Holguin, Cuba. She is also the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Manuel A. Gonzalez (Vigna Forge) of Matanzas, Cuba.
The groom is the grandson of Kenneth R. Kaess of Redding, CT, and the late Mrs. Kaess (Marguerite Welch). He is also the grandson of the late Mrs. Nancy VanVleck Burke of Far Hills, NJ, and the late Edwin M. Burke of Palm Beach. He is the stepson of Mr. Clark and the late Mrs. Edwin M. Burke Jr. (Parrish—Linda K. Riley), and the stepgrandson of Mrs. Virginia Smith Burke of Palm Beach.
Mrs. Burke attended Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart, and is a graduate of Boston College. She received an MBA from Dartmouth College’s Tuck School of Business. Mr. Burke attended Philips Academy and is a graduate of Georgetown University. He received an MBA from Columbia University.
Following a wedding trip to Mustique, the couple reside in Coral Gables, FL.
