She belonged to a book club and a hiking club, was a member of the Country Club of Fairfield and an active member of Southport Congregational Church in Southport, CT. Lisa loved to paint and travel, once taking her mother on a painting trip through France, where she painted pictures in the gardens of famous artists, among them Renoir, Gauguin, and Monet. She fought cancer for three years, and during that time visited various faith healers in India and Brazil, which also involved many interesting travels.
