​Hadley Herrington Debevoise, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eli Whitney Debevoise II (Heidi B. Herrington) of Chevy Chase, MD, was married to Bradley Theodore Allen, son of Dr. and Mrs. Yorke Allen III (C. Lee Browning) of McLean, VA. The ceremony took place on September 14, 2013, at Christ Church, Georgetown, Washington, DC. The reception was held at the Chevy Chase Club, following the ceremony.



Mrs. Allen is the granddaughter of Edgar P. Herrington Jr. of Williamsburg, VA, and the late Mrs. Herrington (Mary Byers). She is also the granddaughter of Mrs. Thomas M. Debevoise II (Ann Taylor) of Woodstock, VT, and the late Mr. Debevoise.



​Mr. Allen is the grandson of Mrs. Carrie Lee Bossier (Jones—Carrie Lee Martin) of Bronxville, NY, and the late David Lloyd Jones of New York, Palm Beach, and Southampton, NY. He is also the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Yorke Allen Jr. (Elizabeth R. Sizer) of New Canaan, CT.



The bride attended National Cathedral School and graduated from Colgate and New York University. She is a member of the Junior League in Washington and the Colonial Dames of America. The groom attended Harrow School in London, and graduated from Harvard. He is a member of the Metropolitan Club, Washington, the St. Nicholas Society, the Society of Mayflower Descendants and the Society of Colonial Wars.

 

Following a wedding trip on safari in Kenya, the couple reside in Washington.
