Mr. and Mrs. E. McMichael Clark Jr. (Linda E. Weismann) of Locust Valley, announce the engagement of their daughter, Teale Lawrence, to Tarlton Heath Long Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Long (Harriet Betts) of Charlotte, NC.

Miss Clark is the granddaughter of Mrs. James E. Weismann (Janet Orlich) and the late Mr. Weismann of Hampton Bays, NY. She is also the granddaughter of Mrs. E. McMichael Clark (Rue Lawrence) and the late Mr. Clark of Savannah.

Mr. Long is the grandson of Mrs. Stanley S. Betts (Mary Bowers) and the late Mr. Betts of Wilmington, NC. He is also the grandson of Mrs. Alfred L. Hobgood Jr. (Long—Rebecca Williams) of Raleigh, NC, and the late Dr. William L. Long, also of Raleigh.

The bride-to-be attended Friends Academy and graduated from Davidson College. She is currently a student at the University of Virginia’s School of Law. The groom-to-be attended St. Andrew’s School and also graduated from Davidson College. He is working on a graduate degree from the University of Michigan’s School of Architecture.
