​Laura Keyes Belt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John H. K. Belt (Mary Jane McCabe) of Glen Cove, NY, was married on September 7, 2013, to Paul Clifford Ponomarev, son of Mrs. Tatyana Zonis (Ponomarev—Tatyana Markova) of Astoria, NY, and Valery Ponomarev of New York. The ceremony took place at St Patrick’s Church in Glen Cove. The reception was held at The Creek in Locust Valley, NY.



Mrs. Ponomarev is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Bernard T. McCabe (Elizabeth M. Cox) of the Bronx, NY, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Banks Belt (Emily W. Keyes) of Glen Cove.



​Mr. Ponomarev is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Victor A. Markov (Lydia Rybchenkova) of Moscow, and the late Mrs. Ludmila Alexei Ponomareva (Ludmila Alexei Lavrova), also of Moscow.



The bride attended Friends Academy and graduated from Fordham University. The groom graduated from Polytechnic Institute and New York University Stern School of Business.

 

The couple took a wedding trip to Africa, where they went on a safari in Kenya and Tanzania, and then went to the Seychelles. They currently make their home in Astoria.
