Evelyn Noelle Baehr, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. R. E. Theodore Baehr (Liliana Milani) of Camarillo, CA, was married on June 9, 2016, to Jeremy James Carroll, son of Mr. and Mrs. James T. Carroll (Wendy S. Joffer) of Medford, OR. The ceremony and reception took place at Villa Zambonina in Verona, Italy.

 

The bride is the granddaughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Rodolfo E. Milani (Irma A. M. Castiglioni) of Houston, and the late Mr. and Mrs. I. E. Theodore Baehr (Evelyn Vena) of Oyster Bay, NY.

 

The groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Ivan B. Joffer (Nancy Ricketts) of Jacksonville, OR. He is also the grandson of Mrs. Wallace H. Carroll (Nellie F. Lievre) of Turlock, CA, and the late

Mr. Carroll.

 

The couple visited Verona a week after the marriage proposal, where they joined romantics from around the world in writing their names on the wall at Casa di Giulietta, said to be the family home of Shakespeare’s lovelorn Juliet. Mrs. Carroll previously spent six months studying art history in Florence, and knew from then on that she wished for her wedding to take place in Italy. The four-day wedding celebration included wine tasting in Veneto, a private tour of the city center, and a tour of Villa La Rotonda led by Count Niccolo Valmarana. The bridal party and family members spent the wedding week at the 16th-century Villa Zambonina.

 

Mrs. Carroll is a graduate of Belhaven University. Mr. Carroll graduated from Vanguard University.

 

After a wedding trip to Positano and Istanbul, the couple make their home in Camarillo.
