Alexandra Tilt weds John Renehan

Alexandra Carleton Tilt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alexander C. Tilt (Ellen L. Weld) of Delray Beach, FL, was married on June 6, 2015, to John Robert Renehan, son of Mrs. Robert S. Waters (Renehan—Kathleen Fuller) of Arlington, VA, and the late Thomas J. Renehan. The ceremony took place at Pine Island, located in Osterville, MA. A reception followed at the Wianno Club, also in Osterville.

 

The bride, known as Za, is the granddaughter of Mrs. William Weld Jr. (Ellen Carleton) of Greenwich, and the late Mr. Weld. She is also the granddaughter of Albert Tilt III of Tenants Harbor, ME, and the late Mrs. Cornelia Tilt (Cornelia Murray). She is the stepgranddaughter of Mrs. Albert Tilt III (Clawson—Christina D. Petrow).

 

The groom, known as Jack, is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Fuller (Irene Isaacsen) of East Hartland, CT. He is also the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wilbert J. Renehan (Elizabeth Sheehan) of Chicago and Oak Brook, IL. He is the stepson of Mr. Waters.

 

Pine Island has long been a part of the bride’s family. Now the residence of the bride’s maternal uncle, it was previously the home of her maternal great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Weld. After exchanging vows on the island, the couple, along with their two siblings, boarded a Hinckley picnic boat and sped off through North Bay to join their guests for the reception.

 

Mrs. (Dr.) Renehan attended The Winsor School and St. Paul’s School. She graduated from Harvard, and received a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Virginia. She is currently in residency training at Georgetown University Hospital. Lt. (Dr.) Renehan attended St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes School. He is a graduate of the University of the South and was commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy. He also received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Virginia, and commenced active duty military service as a resident in orthopedic surgery at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

 

The couple took a wedding trip to McCoy, CO, and make their home in Washington.
