Maryam Mujica and Ali-Reza Vahabzadeh are married


Maryam Ariana Mesbahzadeh Mujica, daughter of Mrs. Azita Mujica-Beavers (Mesbahzadeh—Mujica Brieba—Azita Motamed) of Belvedere, CA, Searcy, AR, and Aspen, CO, and Iraj Mesbahzadeh of Houston, TX, married Ali-Reza Vahabzadeh, son of Mrs. Lynda Vahabzadeh (Lynda Djalili) of Cannes, France, and New York, and Iradj Vahabzadeh, also of Cannes. The ceremony and reception took place on June 26, 2015, at the private residence of the bride’s aunt in New York City.


The bride is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Mahmoud Motamed (Badri Naraghi) of Tehran. She is also the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Mostafa Mesbahzadeh (Forough Etehadieh) of Paris. She is the stepdaughter of Carl D. Beavers Jr., and of the late Patricio Mujica Brieba. Mr. Mujica Brieba was beautifully memorialized in a feature written by the bride for the Social Register Observer after his passing in 2007.


The groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Zia Djalili (Akhtar Homayounfar) of Cannes, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Soleyman Vahabzadeh (Afsar Vahabzadeh) of Geneva. He is the stepson of Mrs. Iradj Vahabzadeh (Evelyne Affile).


Ms. Mujica attended Groton School and is a graduate of Trinity College and the University of Virginia. She also received a Juris Doctor degree from Santa Clara University. Mr. Vahabzadeh attended The Browning School and is a graduate of George Washington University.


Following a wedding trip to Saint-Tropez and Monte Carlo, the couple reside in New York.
