Halle Atkinson and Adam Ours are married

IDRIS ERBA 2015

ALICE VITIELLO

Halle Elizabeth Atkinson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Atkinson (Debra Plawzan) of Medina, OH, was married on October 17, 2015, to Adam Stephen Ours, son of Mrs. Morris Everett Jr. (Ours—Diana DiFranco) of Hunting Valley, OH, and John W. Ours of Lakewood, OH. The ceremony took place at Trinity Cathedral, with a reception at Metropolitan at the 9, both located in Cleveland.

The bride is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Plawzan (Lola Puls) of North Royalton, OH, and of the late Mr. and Mrs. Morris Atkinson (Marjorie Kolonick), also of North Royalton.

The groom is the grandson of Joseph DiFranco of Kirtland, OH, and the late Mrs. DiFranco (Josephine M. Orlandi), and of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Ours (Eloise Shealy) of Herndon, VA. He is also the stepgrandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Morris Everett (Eleanor Egan) of Hunting Valley. He is the stepson of Mr. Everett Jr.

The groom’s step-great-grandmother, Flora Morris Everett, was the first person to be married in Trinity Cathedral, taking her vows almost 123 years to the day, on October 23, 1883. The reception venue also has a connection to Everett family history, with Metropolitan at the 9 incorporating the old Cleveland Trust Bank building, built under the direction of Flora Everett’s father, Calvary Morris, as part of its architecture.

The bride wore a beautiful ivory satin gown adorned with rhinestones and a detachable train, along with a cathedral veil. The bride’s bouquet was made of gardenias, freesia, lisianthus, and white garden roses. Her seven bridesmaids wore ivory Vera Wang dresses, and carried arrangements of white rose, white spray roses, and a touch of greens. The four flower girls wore ivory tea-length dresses, their bouquets full of small white nosegays with white mini carnations, small green hydrangeas, white wax flowers and white spray roses.

Mrs. Ours is a graduate of Miami University of Ohio. Mr. Ours also graduated from Miami University, and received his MBA from Cleveland State University.

The couple took a wedding trip to Hawaii and make their home in Kirtland, OH.
